Visiting the Orphanage

Today, I took Leanna and Missie to the orphanage. We met with 25 kids in the local youth center.  Many of the kids are visiting families for the summer or at a summer camp (they try to get all the kids into some sort of camp each summer).   Anyways, the girls played games with the kids, even teaching them a new one.  The kids also did a cute craft project.

I was able to catch up with some friends who work with the children.  They said there has been a noticeable change in the boys who came to summer camp.  The boys are better behaved and are not cause as many problems or getting into as much trouble.  They are less rowdy and wild when groups come to do activities with them.  The house mothers have noticed a change as well.  And I noticed today.  With the exception of the boys trying to sneak a extra water balloon (and what self respecting school boy wouldn’t?), the boys were good as gold.  I don’t know what happened in summer camp to change these boys, but it was good and it was God.
